Comelec says first day of filing of COCs for 2019 polls “very successful”

(Eagle News) — “Very successful.” This was how Commission on Elections Spokesperson James Jimenez described the first day of filing of Certificates of Candidacy for the 2019 elections. According to Jimenez, there was no report of any incidence of violence from other Comelec offices. “Overall, very successful itong first day of filing natin, in the sense na walang major aberya,” he said. The last day of the filing of COCs is Oct. 17, Wednesday.
