Comelec hopes for “dignified” filing of COCs starting Thursday, Oct. 11; No “circus of supporters” please, Jimenez says

(Eagle News) — The Commission on Elections hopes for a “dignified” filing of certificates of candidacy starting tomorrow, Oct. 11.

According to Comelec Spokesperson James Jimenez, “we don’t want to turn it into a circus of supporters.”

The filing of COCs will last until Oct. 17.

He said only the candidate for a national post and four other persons from his or her camp will be allowed inside Palacio del Gobernador for the filing on the third floor.

For running party-lists, he said ten people will be allowed on the eight floor for the filing.
