(Eagle News)–A prison guard inside the New Bilibid Prison was hurt after he was stabbed by an inmate on Thursday, Sept. 12. Justice Undersecretary Markk Perete said Duty Officer Edgardo Ferrer sustained a “superficial stab wound on his lower abdominal” after he was attacked by the inmate who was suffering from schizophrenia at 8:40 a.m. The inmate was not identified.
