SWS: Of 4 top high-ranking gov’t officials after President, only Sotto gets very good net satisfaction rating

Robredo and Bersamin obtain moderate marks; Arroyo gets poor rating 

(Eagle News)–Of the four highest-ranking government officials after the President, only Senate President Tito Sotto got very good marks for his performance.

Vice President Leni Robredo and Chief Justice Lucas Bersamin got moderate marks, while  Speaker Gloria Macapagal Arroyo got a poor mark, based on a Social Weather Stations survey conducted from June 22 to 26.

Translated in figures, the survey found that 57% were satisfied with the performance of Robredo,  while  29% were dissatisfied, for a net satisfaction rating of +28;  72 percent were satisfied with the performance of Sotto, while 13% were dissatisfied, for a net satisfaction rating of +60; 29 percent were satisfied with  Arroyo’s performance, while 49% were dissatisfied,  for a net satisfaction rating of (-20); while 37%  and were satisfied with Bersamin, and 27 percent were dissatisfied, for a net satisfaction rating of +13.

The survey also found 74% satisfied and 11% dissatisfied with the performance of Senate, 62% satisfied and 14% dissatisfied with the House of Representatives, 66% satisfied and 12% dissatisfied with the Supreme Court, and 64% satisfied and 13% dissatisfied with the Cabinet.

The net satisfaction ratings were therefore a “very good” +63 for the Senate, a record-high “good” +48 for the House of Representatives, a record-high “very good” +54 for the Supreme Court, and a record-high “very good” +51 for the Cabinet as a whole.

The survey was conducted using face-to-face interviews of 1,200 adults nationwide: 300 each in Metro Manila, Balance Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.

Sampling error margins were pegged at ±3% for national percentages, and ±6% each for Metro Manila, Balance Luzon, the Visayas, and Mindanao.
