Supreme Court orders PHL flags in all courts nationwide to be placed at half-mast

QUEZON City, Philippines (Eagle News) — Chief Justice Ma. Lourdes Sereno on Tuesday, June 13, ordered all courts in the country to place the Philippine flag at half-mast to honor the soldiers and policemen who were killed in action in Marawi City.

The order includes the Supreme Court, the Court of Appeals, the Sandiganbayan and the Court of Tax Appeals.

“In solidarity with the families of all Filipinos who have been killed in the current situation in Marawi City, the Chief Justice has directed that the Philippine Flag shall be flown at half-staff in all courts nationwide. The colors of the Supreme Court, Court of Appeals, Sandiganbayan, and Court of Tax Appeals shall also be flown at half-staff for the same duration,” the SC Public Information Office said in a statement.

The flags will be placed at half-mast for four days, starting Tuesday, June 13,  until June 16.
