Sotto welcomes blogger’s indictment for cyber-libel

(Eagle News)–Senate President Tito Sotto on Sunday, July 29, welcomed the indictment of blogger Cocoy Dayao for cyber-libel.

“The case has been filed and now the court has spoken. Mr. Dayao should be made accountable,” Sotto said of the blogger behind the “Silent No More PH” posts.

The Pasay Prosecutors Office indicted Dayao on July 13.

Sotto filed the case against Dayao in November last year after the blogger called the senator and several others who refused to sign a resolution condemning the killings of minors in the drug war “Malacañang lapdogs.”

“Running away won’t solve the problem,” Sotto said.
