Sotto on President Duterte’s planned three-day break: It’s about time

(Eagle News)–It’s about time President Rodrigo Duterte took a break, Senate President Tito Sotto said on Monday, Nov. 11.

According to Sotto, President Duterte had, after all, already been advised by his doctors to “relax even for just a few days.”

“I’m sure he will be recharged thereafter,” Sotto said.

Presidential Spokesperson Salvador Panelo said the President would take a three-day break this week and would stay in his house in Davao.

Panelo said the break was upon advice by Duterte’s friends and possibly his doctors as well.

The announcement came after Duterte complained of back pain following a motorcycle accident on Oct. 16.

The doctors dismissed it as due to muscle spasms.
