QUEZON City, Philippines (Eagle News) — House Defense Committee Senior Vice-Chairman Rufino “Ruffy” Biazon advised the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) and the Philippine National Police (PNP) to prepare for possible attacks from communist rebels.
Rep. Biazon said that the AFP defense should be strong not only in the rural areas, but in urban centers especially after the government cancelled its peace talks with the New People’s Army.
Biazon also recommended the convening of the security cluster of the Cabinet in order to formulate strategies to answer the possible NPA attacks.
