(Eagle News)—–Communists will exert all efforts to oust President Rodrigo Duterte this 2019, saying the ouster was their “principal work” for the year.
In a statement, Communist Party of the Philippines founder Jose Maria Sison said in view of this, the National Democratic Front of the Philippines will “further strengthen itself as the most consolidated realization of the national united front” and will “cooperate with all possible allies in the broad united front..”
He said the “people’s government will support and facilitate the mobility and tactical offensives of the military.”
He said the New People’s Army “will intensify its tactical offensives to defeat the campaign of the enemy to destroy it while carrying out agrarian revolution and mass work.”
“The people’s democratic government will be strengthened at all possible levels in order to take charge of administration and programs for the benefit of the people, such as land reform, public education, production, health and sanitation, cultural work, defense, arbitration and people’s court, environmental protection and disaster relief,” Sison said.
“The (CPP) will perform its overall leading role in the people’s democratic revolution promptly, accurately and clearly,” Sison added.
Duterte ended peace talks with the Communists in December 2017, citing what he said were their atrocities.
