(Eagle News)–Signal No. 1 remains hoisted over three areas as Tropical Storm “Ramon” remained almost stationary over the Philippine Sea.
The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said the eastern portion of Cagayan (Santa Ana, Gonzaga, Lal-lo, Gattaran, Baggao, and Peñablanca), eastern portion of Isabela (Maconacon, Divilacan, Palanan, and Dinapigue), and Northern Aurora (Dilasag, Casiguran, and Dinalungan) remain under the signal as “Ramon,” last spotted 440 kilometers east of Casiguran, Aurora, packed maximum sustained winds of up to 65 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 80 kph.
Today, light to moderate with intermittent heavy rains may be experienced over the eastern portions of Cagayan and Isabela, Bicol Region, Samar Provinces and Romblon.
Gusty conditions associated with the Northeast Monsoon may still be experienced today over Northern Luzon, Aurora, and Bicol Region, especially in coastal and mountainous areas, PAGASA said.
Sea travel is risky, especially for small sea craft, over the seaboards of areas under a storm signal, the seaboards of Northern Luzon, and the eastern seaboards of Central and Southern Luzon due to prevailing or forecast rough sea conditions.
