MANILA, Philippines, August 17 (Eagle News) — Senator Miriam Defensor-Santiago supports the proposal of the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) to hold a debate between presidential candidates for the 2016 elections. Santiago added that she has a pending bill that proposes the same.
She added that the debate is the proper forum for the voters to assess the candidates.
