Senate to probe Lumad killings in Surigao Del Sur

MANILA, Philippines, September 15 (Eagle News) — The senate will conduct its own investigation in the recent killings that involved three leaders of Lumad in Surigao del Sur allegedly by a paramilitary forces.

Senator Teofisto Guigona III asked for the return of the rule of law in the province.

Meanwhile, Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Spokesman Col. Restituto Padilla denied the accusations that the military is involved in the said killings. (Eagle News Service)
