MANILA, Philippines, August 27 (Eagle News) — According to Senator Sonny Angara, the Senate should continue its probe regarding the aborted measure of the Bureau of Customs regarding the random inspection of the balikbayan box, saying that it is important to know the reasoning of the BOC in adopting said step.
The senator added that the scheduled “no remittance day” will have a significant negative effect on the economy of the Philippines.
