Senate to abolish “no permit, no exam” policy in schools

QUEZON City, Philippines – Senator Cynthia Villar is proposing a bill that will penalize schools with “no permit, no exam policy”. According to Senator Villar, Senate Bill 722 aims to allow students to take exams even if they were not able to pay their tuition fee. The senator emphasized the need of schools to understand students under financial straits. Schools that will not follow the law will be made to pay a fine of Php 100, 000 to Php 200,000.
