(Eagle News)–Scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms are expected in the country today, May 12.
The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said Caraga, Davao Region, Northern Mindanao and Central Visayas will hace cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms due to the low pressure area located 355 kilometers east of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur as of 2 a.m.
Flash floods or landslides due to scattered light to moderate rains and severe thunderstorms are possible.
Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan Valley, and Central Luzon will also have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms, but this time due to the southwesterlies.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience a similar condition but due to localized thunderstorms.
Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao will have light to moderate winds and slight to moderate coastal waters.
