(Eagle News)–Davao Mayor Sara Duterte will decide on whether to run for President in 2021.
The mayor made the statement in an interview with reporters in Vigan, Ilocos Sur.
Supporters of the mayor have been goading her to run especially since the term of President Rodrigo Duterte, her father, would expire in 2022.
The President has said he would step down after his term.
In an interview, he said he was even amenable to stepping down before “if we can amend the 30-year-old Charter and have provisions that will minimize graft and corruption.”
The mayor is campaigning for her regional party Hugpong ng Pagbabago’s 13 senatorial candidates.
