Sandiganbayan upholds Napoles’ conviction for plunder

(Eagle News)–The Sandiganbayan has upheld the conviction of Janet Lim Napoles for the alleged misuse of the P224.5-million pork barrel of former Senator Bong Revilla.

In upholding her conviction, the first division said the evidence was sufficient to establish her guilt beyond reasonable doubt.

Napoles had asked the anti-graft court to reverse its decision after Revilla was acquitted of plunder in the case.

Apart from Napoles, Revilla’s former chief of staff Richard Cambe was convicted.
