(Eagle News)–Supporters of both Vice President Leni Robredo and former Senator Bongbong Marcos gathered on Tuesday, Oct. 15, at the Supreme Court, which, acting as the Presidential Electoral Tribunal, is expected to decide on Marcos’ poll protest.

The rallies came a day after Robredo urged the PET to abide by its rules and expressed hope that these “will not be changed in the middle of the game..”

Robredo’s statement came after it filed a motion urging the PET to release the report made by Justice Alfredo Caguioa, case magistrate-in-charge, on the recount of votes in Iloilo, Camarines Sur and Negros Oriental in connection with the protest.

The PET had deferred taking action on the report issued in September, citing the need to study the case.

The PET also reminded both the Robredo and Marcos camps to refrain from making statements to the public on the case, citing the sub judice rule.

Robredo was declared the winner of the vice presidential race in 2016, after she garnered over 200,000 votes more than Marcos.

Marcos, however, has noted what he said were irregularities.
