(Eagle News)—Reelectionist Rex Gatchalian won a third term as mayor of Valenzuela City by a landslide, getting ahead of his closest rival by more than 240,000 votes.

Gatchalian’s 248,911 votes were a far cry from Lakas candidate Bong Go’s 6226, with already 99.76 percent of election returns transmitted.

Rex’s brother, Wes, who was unopposed, also won reelection as the city’s representative in the first district, and their longtime ally Eric Martinez was elected representative of the second district anew.

Running unopposed, Lorie Natividad-Borja won reelection as vice mayor as well.
