Reward for info leading to arrest of Cebu student’s killers reaches P2 million

(Eagle News)–The reward for any information leading to the arrest of the killers of Christine Silawan has reached P2 million.

This was after Presidential Assistant to the Visayas Michael Diño and Philpost chair Norman Fulgencio pledged to shell out P100,000 each for the bounty.

Earlier, the Lapu Lapu government pledged P1 million; a foreign national based in Leyte P500,000; the Cebu Provincial Council for the Welfare of Children P200,000; and the Police Regional Advisory Council P100,000 for any information leading to the arrest of the perpetrators of the crime President Rodrigo Duterte himself has condemned.

Silawan’s body was found in a vacant lot on Monday, March 11.

According to the police, she had been stabbed multiple times, and her head had been skinned, exposing her  skull.

Authorities said her tongue, esophagus and trachea, among others, were also missing.

The police are hunting down three people who were last seen with the Grade 9 student based on testimonies from witnesses.
