(Eagle News)–The staff member of Senator Bong Revilla who tested positive for the coronavirus disease 2019 has passed away.
Revilla made the announcement in a statement on Sunday, March 28.
“I lost my staff and friend of almost 30 years to this COVID-19 this afternoon,” he said.
Revilla, however, did not identify the staff member.
Apart from him, Senate authorities earlier said also positive for COVID-19 were a staff member and a consultant for Senator Pia Cayetano.
Senators Juan Miguel Zubiri, Koko Pimentel and Sonny Angara also tested positive for the virus. With a report from Meanne Corvera
