Resorts World Manila security lapses under PNP investigation

QUEZON City, Philippines (Eagle News) — The security guards of the Resorts World Manila are now under investigation by the Philippine National Police after the June 2 attack by a gunman who set fire to gambling tables and equipment, including carpets, which resulted in the deaths of 37 hotel employees and guests.

The investigation by the Supervisory Office for Security and Investigation Agencies aims to answer if there are lapses on the part of the security of Resorts World Manila.

It aims to determine primarily why the suspect was able to enter the casino carrying firearms and gasoline.
