Rainshowers expected in parts of PHL today, May 27

(Eagle News)–Rainshowers are expected in parts of the country today, May 27, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said.

PAGASA said Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan Valley, Central Luzon and CALABARZON will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms as a frontal system affects the eastern section of Luzon.

Flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms are possible.

Metro Manila, MIMAROPA and Western Visayas will also have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms but this time due to a  southwesterly surface windflow.

The rest of the country, on the other hand, will have  partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms as a result of localized thunderstorms.

The northern and western sections of Luzon will have moderate winds and coastal waters while the rest of the country will have light to moderate winds and slight to moderate coastal waters.
