Rains expected in parts of PHL today, May 31

(Eagle News)–Rains are expected in parts of the country today, May 31, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said.

PAGASA said Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, Apayao, Batanes, Cagayan including Babuyan Group of Islands will have  cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms  as a frontal system affects Northern Luzon.

Flashfloods or landslides during severe thunderstorms are possible.

Eastern Visayas, Palawan, Mindoro Provinces will on the other hand have
cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the Intertropical Convergence Zone.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to localized
thunderstorms.

Light to moderate winds and slight to moderate coastal waters are expected in the country.
