(Eagle News) — Rains are expected in some parts of the country on Friday, March 29, as the easterlies continue to affect Southern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.

In his 4 a.m. weather update, weather specialist Ariel Rojas said hovering clouds over Mindanao will cause scattered rainshowers and light to moderate rains.

The western section of the country– Zamboanga, Bangsamoro, Sulu archipelago, Soccsksargen and Davao Region–will experience somewhat strong rains, while some rains will be experienced over Northern Mindanao and Caraga, Rojas said.

Central Visayas and Palawan will be sunny in the morning, but in the afternoon and at night, Rojas said clouds and scattered rains due to localized thunderstorms were possible.

In Western and Eastern Visayas, the chances of rain are low.

In Luzon, localized thunderstorms are expected over Aurora and Quezon Province in the afternoon.

There are less chances of rain in the remaining parts of Luzon, including Metro Manila, on the other hand.
