Rains expected in parts of PHL today

(Eagle News)–Rains are expected in parts of the country today, Dec. 12.

The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said Caraga, Basilan, Sulu, Tawi Tawi, and Southern Palawan will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms as the intertropical convergence zone affects Palawan and Mindanao.

Flash floods or rain-induced landslides during severe thunderstorms are possible.

Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, Aurora, and Quezon will have cloudy skies  with light rains due to the northeast monsoon affecting Luzon, on the other hand.

PAGASA said windy conditions in coastal and mountainous areas are possible.

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains while Visayas and the rest of Mindanao will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies but with isolated rainshowers due to localized thunderstorms.
