(Eagle News)–The Presidential Security Group will implement a “no-touch policy” on President Rodrigo Duterte as a safeguard against the novel coronavirus.
Col. Jesus Durante III, PSG commander, added in a statement personalities expected to get near the President “especially during meetings and events will be thoroughly screened and tested for any illness related” to COVID-19.
“These include PSG personnel, politicians, and dignitaries,” he said.
He said large crowd gatherings with the President as guest of honor and speaker “shall be assessed and could be cancelled not only for his safety but also for the attendees.”
“Likewise, all established health protocols and preventive measures are continuously in effect to all PSG personnel and the whole Malacañang Complex,” he said.
“The PSG, together with members of OP EMC, are observing these preventive measure, based on the guidelines setforth by DOH,” he added.
