(Eagle News)–President Rodrigo Duterte on Thursday, Oct. 3, said two generals are “still playing with drugs.”
In his speech at the Valdai forum in Russia, the President did not identify the generals nor did he say if they were from the military or the police.
The President made the revelation amid issues hounding the Philippine National Police, including its chief Oscar Albayalde.
Albayalde has been accused of intervening in the cases filed against 13 policemen ordered dismissed over an allegedly anomalous raid in Pampanga in 2013.
President Duterte has said he would defer from taking any action on the claims against Albayalde and the 13 policemen pending the results of an ongoing Senate probe.
Duterte is on an official visit to Russia.
