President Duterte to visit areas hit by “Rolly,” Senator Go says

Palace says President to conduct aerial inspection of Calabarzon, Bicolandia

(Eagle News)–President Rodrigo Duterte will visit the areas hit by Super Typhoon “Rolly” on Monday, Nov. 2.

Senator Bong Go said the President would visit the hardest-hit areas in Legazpi and Albay, among other areas.

He said afterwards, the President would have a meeting with his Cabinet.

“Pinatawag niya lahat ng ahensya ng gobyerno para tumulong ito sa recovery efforts ng gobyerno,” Go said.

Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque, for his part, said the President would conduct an aerial inspection of Bicolandia and Calabarzon, as he returns to Manila from Davao today.

At least ten fatalities have been reported amid the onslaught of “Rolly,” which reached the super typhoon category, prompting the lifting of signal no. 5 over Catanduanes, Camarines Sur, and Albay, among other areas.

On Monday, PAGASA said “Rolly,” which has weakened, was expected to leave the Philippine Area of Responsibility on Tuesday.

Signal no. 1 remains in effect over some parts of the country, including Metro Manila.
