(Eagle News)—President Rodrigo Duterte on Wednesday, June 5, urged all Muslim Filipinos to remain as the government’s partner in “promoting peace and understanding among Filipinos from all walks of life.”
The President issued the statement as Muslim Filipinos marked Eid’l Fitr, the end of their month-long fasting or Ramadan.
The President also urged Muslim Filipinos to “take this as an opportunity to deepen your role as instruments of love, sacrifice, respect and selfless service..”
“May all Muslim Filipinos observe this day as a time for reflection, enlightenment and renewal of commitment..,” Duterte said.
