(Eagle News) — President Rodrigo Duterte on Thursday said that there was a need to “fortify” islands in the West Philippine Sea.
“There are nine or 10 islands there. We have to fortify,” he said.
He said for this, “I must build bunkers there or houses and make provisions for habitation.”
Parts of the West Philippine Sea are also being claimed by China.
