(Eagle News)–President Rodrigo Duterte on Tuesday, Sept. 10, expressed admiration for Manila Mayor Isko Moreno for his efforts to clean up the city and implement projects.
In a press briefing, the President said he watches Moreno when he speaks.
“Bilib ako sa kaniya,” he said.
He said Moreno was even “better” than him, drawing laughter from the audience.
“Oo, may nakita ako na mas mahusay ang resolve niya kaysa akin. Plus two ako sa kanya,” he added.
Since he assumed office, Moreno has spearheaded efforts to clean Manila, including the Lagusnilad underpass and Divisoria, and has tapped the Department of Tourism to help revive tourist spots in the city.
Only recently, he imposed a curfew on minors, many of whom would be usually seen roaming the streets even in the wee hours.
