President Duterte conducts aerial inspection of areas devastated by “Ompong”

(Eagle News)–President Rodrigo Duterte on Sunday, Sept. 16, conducted an aerial inspection of areas that were part of the trajectory of “Ompong.”

Pictures posted on the Twitter account of Special Assistant to the President Bong Go showed he accompanied the President in the inspection, which took place a day after “Ompong” exited the Philippine Area of Responsibility.

At least 29 people were killed in the onslaught of the typhoon, with 13 reported missing.

“Ompong” is heading toward China.

PAGASA said the typhoon no longer has a direct effect on the country.
