QUEZON City, Philippines – President Rodrigo Duterte claimed responsibility for the naming of alleged narco-officials, saying that he is ready to apologize if ever the named officials are not actually involved in illegal drugs.
Duterte also said that the war on illegal drugs is serious and that is the reason why he is ready to put his personal dignity as well as his presidency on the line.
Duterte named various government officials – judges, police and military officers, mayors, governors and congressmen – allegedly involved in the illegal drug trade and promised that they will undergo due process.
