(Eagle News)–President Rodrigo Duterte is slated to visit China from Aug. 28 to Sept. 2.
Presidential Spokesperson Salvador Panelo revealed the dates in a press conference on Tuesday, Aug. 20.
President Duterte has said he would raise the arbitral ruling that invalidated the nine-dash line demarcating China’s expansive claims in the South China Sea in a meeting with China President Xi Jinping.
He said he would also raise the planned joint exploration of natural resources in the disputed waters.
This would have been Duterte’s fifth visit to China as chief executive.
