President Duterte asks DFA to monitor Filipinos after New Zealand quake

QUEZON City, Philippines (Eagle News) — President Rodrigo Duterte asked the Department of Foreign Affairs, especially the country’s embassy officials in Wellington, New Zealand, to closely monitor the status of Filipinos in the country after a magnitude 7.8 earthquake hit New Zealand.

As of now, no Filipino was reported affected by the earthquake. President Duterte plans to make a stop-over in New Zealand on his way to Peru to attend the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Summit.
