(Eagle News) — The police have recovered one of two guns allegedly used in the killing of Rep. Rodel Batocabe and his bodyguard in December last year.

The 45 cal. pistol, the police said, was recovered from a fish pond in Barangay Busay in Ligao City, Albay.

A magazine loaded with ammunition was also recovered.

The gun was reportedly thrown by Christopher Naval, one of the suspects in the killing of Batocabe and SP01 Orlando Diaz, in the pond after it was given to him by the alleged main gunman, Henry Yuson.

The police said it was Naval who told them where the 45 cal. pistol could be located.

Yuson told the police he also disassembled and threw away another  40-caliber pistol used in the killing.

Apart from Yuson and Naval, five others, including Daraga, Albay Mayor Carlwyn Baldo, were charged in connection with the killing of Batocabe and Diaz.
