PNP: Vaping allowed in designated smoking places

(Eagle News)–The Philippine National Police on Friday, Nov. 22, clarified that vaping is still allowed in designated smoking places.

In an interview over GMA 7, PNP spokesperson Brigadier General Bernard Banac said this was under  Executive Order 26, which provides for the establishment of smoke-free environments in public and enclosed places.

Banac said this was the  basis of the police for arresting vape users in public places.

Earlier, President Rodrigo Duterte ordered the arrest of all those caught vaping.

The President gave the directive after the Department of Health reported the first case of vape-related illness in the country.
