PNP to review Mamasapano incident findings

MANILA, Philippines, September 15 (Eagle News) — The Philippine National Police (PNP) is considering a case review of the findings of the Board of Inquiry (BOI) regarding the Mamasapano debacle that claimed the lives of the 44 Special Action Force (SAF) commandos last January 25.

PNP Chief, Director Ricardo Marquez also asked that evidence should be presented to prove that the ‘alternative version’ of the Mamasapano incident which one aide of the Zulkifli Bin Hir also known as Marwan may have been killed him and not by the SAF commandos.

According to the PNP Chief, he had already discussed the planned case review with CIDG Chief Director Benjamin Magalong, chairman of the Inquiry Board panel in the Mamasapano incident. (Eagle News Service)
