PNP reports 74 additional COVID-19 recoveries

(Eagle News)–The Philippine National Police has reported 74 more COVID-19 recoveries among police personnel.

The PNP said with the new recoveries, the total rose to 3924 as of Friday night.

Forty-four additional COVID-19 cases pushed the tally to 5329.

Of these, the PNP said 1388 were active.

After reporting zero additional COVID-19 deaths for several days straight, the PNP reported one more death, bringing the death toll to 17.

The PNP has vowed to continue to man quarantine checkpoints and patrol streets to ensure members of the public follow health and safety protocols amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

The PNP earlier inked an agreement with the Makati Medical Center to ensure the safety of police personnel who are at risk of contracting the disease as one of the country’s frontliners.
