PNP recovers 55 vintage bombs in Santiago City

SANTIAGO CITY, Isabela, January 23 (PIA) – At least 55 pieces of vintage bombs were recently recovered by the Philippine National Police (PNP) here after receiving report from a concerned citizen at barangay San Jose, this city.

Supt. Alex Delos Santos, Santiago City Public Safety Company head, led the team in the recovery of the vintage bombs at the city’s solid waste and disposal facility in the said barangay.

“We immediately responded to a report from a concerned citizen to avoid accident as these may still explode if not properly handled,” Delos Santos said.

He said the vintage bombs are now at the custody of the city public safety company for proper disposal. (ALM/MGE/PIA-2 Isabela)
