QUEZON City, Philippines – The Philippine National Police (PNP) will make a separate investigation of the alleged Davao extrajudicial killings, particularly the allegations made by senate witness Edgar Matobato.
Dela Rosa said the PNP is even willing to make Edgar Matobato as a prime witness against the personalities that the latter pointed out as connected to a series of killings.
The PNP chief made the offer to place Matobato under the PNP’s custody after the Senate leadership denied the appeal of Senator Leila De Lima to place him under the Senate’s protection.
But Dela Rosa expressed doubts that Senator De Lima will allow Matobato to be under the PNP.
