(Eagle News)–The Philippine National Police has postponed the resumption of its recruitment process.
In an advisory, the PNP’s Recruitment and Selection Service said the postponement was in view of three things:
- The clearance of the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases for the passage of applicants from one border to the other is still pending
- The difficulty of completion of documentary requirements of applicants/recruits;
- The policy amendments and health concerns of applicants raised by National Police Commission directors
The PNP did not say when the recruitment process would resume.
Earlier, PNP chief Archie Gamboa announced the resumption of the process, including the processing of applications, on June 1.
Metro Manila shifted into a General Community Quarantine with eased restrictions on Monday.
But the government reminded the public to cooperate, noting that the COVID-19 virus is “an invisible enemy” that is still out there.
