PNP identifies 941 election hot spots

(Eagle News)–The Philippine National Police on Monday, March 25, identified over 900 election hot spots.

The 941 hotspots identified by PNP Chief Oscar Albayalde as of March 20 were around 200 more than the  701 it earlier reported.

The following red areas or areas of grave concern have been identified in the following regions:

  • 118 red areas – Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao,
  • 93 red areas – Northern Mindanao,
  • 73 red areas – CARAGA,
  • 72 red areas – Zamboanga Peninsula,
  • 49 red areas each in Davao Region and SOCCSKSARGEN,
  • 45 red areas in Eastern Visayas,
  • 28 red areas in Cordillera Region,
  • 21 red areas in Bicol Region,
  • 5 red areas in CALABARZON,
  • 4 red areas each in Central Luzon and Western Visayas,
  • 2 red areas in  Cagayan Valley Region, and
  • 1 red area in Central Visayas

Albayalde said 131 towns and cities were identified as yellow areas, or areas of election concern, and  238 orange areas or areas of immediate concern.
