(Eagle News) — The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) and the Philippine National Police (PNP) have been placed under red alert status for the holiday season.
The National Capital Region Police Office was also put on full alert for the Miss Universe pageant.
NCRPO director Chief Supt. Oscar Albayalde said that the full alert status was enforced as some Miss Universe candidates started arriving on Friday, December 9.
The Philippines is set to host the 65th Miss Universe pageant on January 30, 2017.
