PHL gets fourth gold medal in Asiad after Margielyn Didal tops women’s skateboarding event

(Eagle News) — Skateboarder Margielyn Didal gave the Philippines its fourth gold in the 2018 Asian Games, after besting her competitors in the Women’s Street Final.

The 19-year-old Cebuana bested  Kaya Isa of Japan and Bunga Nyimas of Indonesia.

With her win, the Philippines improved its medal tally with four gold medals and 13 bronze medals in the Asiad.

Apart from Didal, weightlifter Hidilyn Diaz, golfer Yuka Saso, and the team of Saso Kaye Go and Bianca Pagdanganan gave the Philippines a gold medal finish in the prestigious tournament.
