PHL defeats Indonesia in prelims of women’s sepak takraw event

(Eagle News)–The Philippines defeated Indonesia in the preliminary round of the women’s sepak takraw event in Subic on Sunday, Dec. 1.

The final score was 670-660.

Earlier, John Chicano clinched the country’s first gold in the 30th SEA Games with a  win against fellow Filipino Kim Remolino in the men’s triathlon event.

Filipinos Kim Mangrobang and Kim Kilgroe also won gold and silver, respectively, in the women’s triathlon event.

The Philippines’ Agatha Wong was declared the winner in the women’s taolu taijiquan.

Philippine bets Daniel Parantac and Avegail Romblon won bronze in the taolu tajiquan men’s division event and women’s cross country event, respectively.
