Philippines logs 3,580 new COVID-19 cases

(Eagle News)–The Philippines logged over 3,000 more COVID-19 cases on Wednesday, Aug. 24.

According to the Department of Health, the 3580 additional cases pushed the tally to 3864034.

Of these, 30240 were active.

Metro Manila logged the highest number of new COVID-19 cases in the last 14 days with 13256.

It was followed by Calabarzon with 7404, Central Luzon with 4382, Western Visayas with 2299 and Cagayan Valley with 1896.

Quezon City logged the highest number of new COVID-19 cases among the cities and provinces with 3044, followed by Cavite with 2581, Laguna with 1978, Manila with 1669 and Bulacan with 1439.

Recoveries are at 3772318.

The COVID-19 death toll is at 61476.
