Philippines logs 1,874 new COVID-19 cases

(Eagle News)–The Philippines logged 1,874 new COVID-19 cases on Saturday, Nov. 26.

With the additional cases, the active tally rose to 18348.

This is the third straight day of over 1,000 new COVID-19 infections reported.

The Philippines has now logged 4,032,326 total COVID-19 cases.

The DOH said of the additional cases, Metro Manila logged the highest number of new COVID-19 cases in the last 14 days with 3418.

It was followed by Calabarzon with 1801; Western Visayas with 1162; Central Luzon with 994; and Central Visayas with 982.

Recoveries also rose to 3,949,407.

The death toll rose to 64,571.

Earlier, the DOH said 14 cases of the highly transmissible Omicron subvariant BQ.1 had been detected in the country.
