Philippines logs 1,353 new COVID-19 cases

(Eagle News)–The Philippines logged 1,353 new COVID-19 cases on Friday, Nov. 25.
With the additional cases, the active tally rose to 17945.

The Philippines has now logged 4,030,572 COVID-19 cases.

The DOH said of the additional cases, Metro Manila logged the highest number of new COVID-19 cases in the last 14 days with 3,510.

It was followed by Calabarzon with 1,900; Western Visayas with 1,315; Central Luzon with 1,062; and Central Visayas with 1,027.

Recoveries also rose to 3,948,079, with 795 new recoveries.

At least 24 new fatalities were recorded, with the death toll now at 64,548.

Earlier, the DOH said 14 cases of the highly transmissible Omicron subvariant BQ.1 had been detected in the country.
